Chapter 1: The Basics

All roads lead to the City. It is a land rich with trade and culture, a land of ancient dignity. The fay and underfolk both claim that the City predated the coming of humans, but the City is now undeniably the seat of humankind. For generations, men and women of famous heritage and noble blood have ruled the City through ages of feast and ages of famine.

And then, the Underworld opened beneath it.

Beneath the world’s largest metropolis, passages in plaster mines were discovered that led to a gargantuan castle, surrounded by a ruined city, deep inside the stygian depths.
