Pentacles actions
Avoid
Avoid to get past a danger, threat, or guard that’s trying to stop your movement.
If your Avoid value is greater than your opponent’s Initiative, you get past the threat and can move to an adjacent zone.
If you are engaged and want to disengage safely, use the Avoid action.
If your Avoid value is equal to or greater than your opponent’s Initiative, you disengage and can move to an adjacent zone.
If your Avoid value is less than your opponent’s Initiative, your opponent may deal 1 Wound to you. Once this is resolved, you can move to an adjacent zone.
If engaged with multiple opponents, compare your Avoid card towards each opponent’s Initiative. Each opponent you fail to Avoid may deal 1 Wound to you. You might successfully Avoid some while being harmed by others.
Dash
Dash to leave your current zone and move two zones away.
Dodge
Dodge to evade your foes’ attacks against you.
Play your card facedown. When you’re next targeted by an Attack, Roughhouse, or similar action, add your card’s value to your Initiative. If your new Initiative is greater than the attacker’s action value, the attack misses. Otherwise, the action is resolved as normal.
Once your Dodge card is resolved, discard the card.
Roughhouse
Roughhouse to attempt some maneuver against your opponent: charge them with your shield, tackle them, rip their helm from their head, place your thumbs in their eyeballs.
If your Roughhouse value is greater than your opponent’s Initiative, you choose to either Disarm, Displace, Root, or Trip them (see Effects). They must use the Recover action to get rid of this effect.
