Illusion

Component:

A seven-faceted prism

The sorcerer creates an illusion of any object or creature.

  • The illusion is merely an image—a hologram—and has no weight or substance, creates no sound, no smells, etc.

  • Illusions are only additive, never subtractive. For example, something cannot be made unseen with an illusion, but an illusory wall could obscure it. Making something unseen is the purview of the Shroud spell.

  • The illusion obeys the sorcerer’s mental commands. During Challenges, this requires a miscellaneous action.

This spell is maintained by concentration. While maintaining the spell, the sorcerer may add details to the illusion by spending 1 Resolve per detail. For example, they may elect for an illusion of a knight to pull a new item (such as a scroll or weapon) from its pack by spending 1 Resolve.
