Provisions

If you're low on supplies, you can Forage and acquire up to 2d6 uses of ◊ provisions. You might also gain them incidentally (if, say, you fight an angry boar and harvest the meat).

Expend provisions in place of supplies when you Make Camp, or to feed yourself as you travel. Provisions, though, are more likely to spoil or attract beasts than supplies are.

You've skinned the beznpol, and it seems wasteful to just leave the flesh. You Know Things Interfere to see if they're good eating, and get a 7. "Well, you don't know about beznpol," says the GM, "but hunters will often eat the liver or heart of a beast fresh after the kill. That'd count as, oh, 3 uses of provisions. But you'll have to roll the Die of Fate to see if it makes you sick."

You're an impetuous youth, and Vahid is curious to a fault, so you each eat a use of provisions when you Make Camp rather than using up supplies. You get a 6 on the Die of Fate, so, yeah, it's rather tasty and neither of you gets ill.

You've still got 1 use of provisions left, but it's not like raw liver or heart keeps well. You toss what's left to the crows instead of adding it to your Inventory.
