5. Armor Answer the following:

What is it protected by? (pick 1) armor
Naught but cloth and flesh 0
Leathers or thick hide 1
Mail, scale, or similar 2
Steel armor, boney plates, carapace 3
Potent magical wards or supernatural resilience 4
What else applies? (pick all that do) armor
It's tiny +1
It bears a shield or similar +1
It's skilled in defense +1
It lacks vital organs +1

In parentheses after the armor rating, note the source(s) of the armor. Then list any variants or exceptions.

The Almtakers have the Fae's typical resilience to anything but iron, so I start by giving them armor 4. Even against iron, they have wood-like flesh; I think that counts as "thick hide." They have organs and anatomy, so no bonus there, but I think that they're skilled in defense—they're guardians, after all. I write down:

Armor 5 (resilience, skill), 2 vs. iron (hide, skill)

Yikes. These things are tough.
