Trade & Barter

Commonly available items—things on the Inventory insert, or that could be found in pretty much any Stonetop household—are readily available. Folks trade, loan, and gift these items all the time, and its not worth tracking them. See Playing the Game for a list of example common items.

To acquire or sell a special item, though, you must roll to Trade & Barter. The result tells you whether you can make the trade easily and fairly (on a 10+), or if there's a catch (on a 7-9), or if the trade just isn't going to happen here and now.

See Playing the Game for a list of special items. For items not on the list, the GM decides whether there's any chance of finding it (or finding a buyer for it). If not, don't roll to Trade & Barter; Make a Plan with the GM instead.
