New PCs

You might need to introduce a new PC to an ongoing game when:

A new player joins your group
A PC dies, retires, or otherwise leaves play (see previous page), and the player creates a replacement PC

If you're adding a player to an ongoing game, then brief them on the game so far. Have them read the Setting Overview and Moves & Gear handouts. Ideally, have them read the group's session logs and look over the steading playbook. Schedule time to answer any questions they have.
