Do you need multiple triggers?

A move might need multiple triggers, each with its own result(s), if…

  • ... it covers multiple related but distinct activities, like how Recover has one trigger for restoring HP and another for treating debilities/wounds.
  • ... it's a playbook move that grants two or more related benefits, like how Catlike allows the Fox to both move silently and hide in shadows.
  • ... it operates in phases, like how Wards & Bindings has one trigger for placing the boundary and another trigger for when it's put to the test.
  • ... you want a certain result to be conditional, like how Make Camp) grants advantage on the next roll if the rest is especially pleasant.
  • ... you need to put a limit on the trigger (see next page).
